OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) Expert (Key Expert)
The expert will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices within industrial operations by applying advanced technical knowledge and extensive professional experience. This role includes leading risk assessment processes, contributing to fire, explosion, electrical, and mechanical safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with national and international OHS standards. The expert will support the development and implementation of effective safety strategies, provide guidance on the application of OHS methodologies, and help strengthen organizational risk management capacities. Through strong analytical skills, comprehensive OHS expertise, and bilingual communication abilities, the expert will play a key role in improving safety performance across the project.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor degree in engineering preferably chemical, mechanical, electrical, electric and electronic, industrial, metallurgy and material departments.
- Post-graduate degree (master and/or PhD degree) in the fields of engineering or OHS will be an asset.
- Valid national (Class A) or international (NEBOSH or equivalent) OHS certificate
- Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish,
- Full computer literacy.
General professional experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in industrial operations.
Specific professional experience
- Minimum 6 years of OHS experience
- Experience in the field of fire and explosion protection, electrical and mechanical safety etc. will be an asset.
- Experience in conducting risk assessement tools and/or risk mapping at national/international level will be an asset.
Duration: 3 years
Location: Based in Türkiye with travel to identified provinces
